That’s a wrap for our 23rd year of Zoo Camp! We couldn’t be more thrilled with our campers’ incredible turnout and enthusiasm. This year, our camp reached new heights, with over 400 campers from different age groups, including Preschool, Elementary, Middle, and High School students. It was truly an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

One of the highlights of this year’s camp was the introduction of Conservation Bingo. We wanted to allow our campers to apply the sustainable practices they learned at Zoo Camp. Conservation Bingo proved to be a hit! Campers were excited to take these practices and put them into action in their daily lives. From recycling to reducing water consumption, the campers showed great commitment to positively impacting the environment.

During Zoo Camp, we also took the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the American Marten. ZooAmerica has been actively involved in the future Marten reintroduction project in Pennsylvania. The campers were thrilled to learn about the American Marten’s importance in the ecosystem and the efforts being made to ensure their survival. We hope to instill a sense of responsibility and passion for wildlife conservation by educating our campers about this unique species.

One of the highlights of Zoo Camp, year after year, is the chance for campers to get up close and personal with animals. This year was no exception! Campers had the incredible opportunity to interact closely with various animals, including some of our newest additions to the zoo. These interactions left a lasting impression on our campers, from feeding giraffes to petting baby kangaroos. It’s these hands-on experiences that truly bring the wonders of nature to life.

But it wasn’t just about the animals – our campers also got to go behind the scenes. They had exclusive access to areas of the zoo that are normally off-limits to the public. They learned about the daily routines of our dedicated zookeepers, from feeding schedules to enrichment activities. It was an eye-opening experience for our campers and gave them a glimpse into the hard work and dedication required to care for the animals.

As we wrap up another successful year of Zoo Camp, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our incredible Zoo Camp counselors. Their dedication, passion, and expertise made this year’s camp special. They went above and beyond to ensure that every camper had an unforgettable experience and gained a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature.

We would also like to thank every family that joined us for yet another wild year. The support and enthusiasm of our campers’ families make Zoo Camp possible. Your involvement and commitment to wildlife conservation are invaluable to us, and we are grateful for your continued support.

Reflecting on the 23rd year of Zoo Camp, we are filled with awe and wonder. Our campers’ smiles, laughter, and curiosity remind us of the importance of fostering a love for nature from a young age. We are excited to continue inspiring future generations of conservationists and wildlife enthusiasts through the magic of Zoo Camp.

Thank you once again for being a part of this incredible journey. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Zoo Camp and the impact our campers will make on the world around them. Until next year, keep exploring, learning, and protecting our amazing planet!
