To set the tone for the evening, wear your grooviest outfits and get ready to dance the night away with Old Pueblo DJ Co. They will be spinning some of the greatest hits from the ’70s, ensuring a night full of musical nostalgia. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!
But the celebration doesn’t stop there! The first 200 guests will receive cool Desert Museum sunglasses, a perfect accessory to complete your ’70s look. These sunglasses will shield your eyes from the desert sun and serve as a fashionable memento of this special event.
In addition to the music and free sunglasses, we have planned two exciting theater events that will transport you back in time. At 6:30 PM, we will be screening an episode of Desert Trails, a TV show once hosted by Hal Gras, a dedicated Museum employee from 1953 to 1985. This rare glimpse into the Museum’s past will make you appreciate Tit’s journey.
After that, at 7:30 PM, Anna, one of our knowledgeable staff members, will take you behind the scenes and share fascinating insights into creating our realistic Cave Exhibit. Learn about the efforts that went into recreating the cave environment and the importance of such exhibits in educating visitors about the wonders of our natural world.
