Introducing Willow – Our New Female Red Panda
We are excited to introduce you to Willow, our new female red panda! Willow is seven years old and full of personality. She recently moved into her new home and is settling in nicely.
Willow can usually nap on the top right corner branch of her enclosure or in the tree trunk. She is easily distinguished from her companion Také, as her white eyebrows blend in and resemble a “C” shape around her face.
Red pandas are native to the Himalayas and are known for their playful personalities and long bushy tails. They are also arboreal animals, which means they spend most of their time in the trees.
Willow is no exception and loves to climb and explore her new home. She is always up for a good hide-and-seek game and loves to be given treats! She is also very curious and loves to watch the visitors to the zoo.
