The Antarctic realm includes Antarctica and several island groups in the southern Atlantic and Indian Oceans. This is the least biodiverse of the realms due to its extreme conditions, but it's still home to several notable species. Penguins, seals, and various seabirds, such as the albatross, have adapted to the harsh conditions. The ocean surrounding Antarctica is rich in marine life, including whales and various types of fish and squid.
