The Indomalayan realm extends across South and Southeast Asia, from Pakistan and India to the Malay Archipelago, and includes several island groups. This realm encompasses a range of ecosystems, from the high peaks of the Himalayas to the lowland rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. Tigers, elephants, orangutans, and various birds and reptiles can be found here. Many species in this realm, such as the Javan rhinoceros and Sumatran tiger, are critically endangered due to habitat loss and poaching.
