Oceanian

The Oceanian realm includes the islands of the Pacific Ocean, excluding those of Indonesia, New Guinea, and the Philippines, which fall within the Indomalayan realm, and excluding New Zealand, which is part of the Australasian realm. This realm's fauna is relatively low in diversity due to its isolation, particularly in its terrestrial habitats. However, its marine ecosystems are richly diverse.
