The Palearctic realm is the enormous biogeographic realm, extending across Europe and Asia north of the Himalayas and Africa north of the Sahara. It also includes the Arabian Peninsula and the northern parts of the Indian subcontinent. This realm hosts a wide variety of habitats, from the Arctic tundra.
