Shallow temperatures throughout the year characterize polar climates. These climates include tundra (ET) and ice cap (EF). In tundra climates, the warmest month has an average temperature between 0°C (32°F) and 10°C (50°F), whereas, in ice cap climates, the temperature hardly ever rises above freezing. Polar climates are found in the high latitudes of the northern and southern hemispheres, primarily in Greenland, Antarctica, and parts of northern Canada, Alaska, and Siberia.
