Wrapping up per special request from the keepers is Curator Meredith imitating Collared Lemur Jolene! When our animal team is short-staffed, Meredith takes on the role of full-time zookeeper on top of her normal Curator duties-if you think that sounds hard, it is! “LCF has felt like a second home since I interned here in 2015-2016. I’ve worked in a few zoological facilities between that internship and returning here in December of 2021, but the lemurs truly stole my heart, and I had to come back! I’ve enjoyed becoming Curator and managing such a great group of keepers and interns-I absolutely could not do my job without them! My favorite lemur at LCF is Rivotra, but I also have a soft spot for all mongoose lemurs. When I’m not working, I enjoy hanging out with my dog, Toph, and watching Bob’s Burgers.” I appreciate your dedication to the lemurs and the staff, Meredith!
