Congratulations to former Trevor Zoo resident and Ring-tailed lemur Julien who is now a dad! Julien was born March 11th, 2021, to parents Lorelei and Foster, and moved to the Naples Zoo in June of 2023. Because we are an AZA accredited zoo, we participate in a number of species survival plans and breeding programs, and often animals that are born here are sent to other zoo to start families of their own. Exciting News!🍼 PJ our ring-tailed lemur gave birth on March 22nd to this beautiful little lemur! PJ has been an exceptional mother, showing attentive care and nurturing to her little one. Both PJ, Julien, and the newborn are thriving on the island. As first-time parents, we’ve been respectfully giving them space, but now, our Primate Expedition Cruise has been granted clearance to pass by the island, giving guests the opportunity to catch a glimpse of this adorable lemur family. Stay tuned as we anxiously wait to reveal the gender of this bundle of joy!
