Overview

The Dallas Zoo, established in 1888, is Texas's oldest and largest zoological park, encompassing approximately 106 acres. Home to over 2,000 animals representing 406 species, the Dallas Zoo is committed to creating a better world for animals. The zoo focuses on engaging people with wildlife, advancing conservation efforts, and promoting responsible care for nature.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities at the Dallas Zoo, including feeding giraffes at the Diane and Hal Brierley Giraffe Ridge, watching the Wonders of the Wild show, riding the T-Rex Express mini train, and enjoying up-close encounters with birds at the Travis & Zach's Birds Landing. The zoo also offers dining and shopping options and hosts seasonal events for added enjoyment.

The Dallas Zoo actively participates in numerous conservation efforts to protect wildlife and their habitats. They collaborate with more than 25 conservation partners globally to help protect and conserve endangered species. In addition, the zoo also contributes to conservation efforts through its Wild Earth Academy, which offers a variety of educational programs for all ages.
