Mar. 62 hatchlings emerged from their shells, beginning their journey to the sea. Out of these, seven lucky individuals were relocated to a facility as part of a special project.

The ARCA del Mar:

To increase the survival chances of loggerhead turtles, the ARCA del Mar facility provides a haven for a select few hatchlings. These seven turtles, along with the ones yet to hatch in the incubator, will spend their first year in this unique environment. The goal is to ensure they reach a sufficient size for optimal survival before they are released back into the ocean.

The Incubation Process:

As we marvel at the adorable hatchlings making their grand entrance into the world, it’s important to understand the vital role of the incubation process. At the Oceanogràfic, the eggs are carefully monitored, providing the optimal conditions for their development.
