In April, we celebrate the very beginnings of Memphis Zoo, Founder’s Day. It Is also the month that highlights those who freely dedicate their service and time — volunteers.

Today, we share a special story to highlight both. Decades of Memphis Zoo history was carefully curated and organized by an amazing docent and volunteer team, leading to the creation of the “Archive Room”. Who is better to take us through time than those who’ve not only been a part of it, but preserve it as well?
