Welcome to the magical world of Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando, where education meets entertainment in a vibrant and inclusive environment. Today, we are excited to share this incredible attraction’s unique and fascinating aspects. Did you know that Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando is a Certified Autism Center designated by our partner, the IBCCES? This certification reflects our ongoing commitment to serve our community and families with special needs.

At the heart of this certification is ensuring that every guest, regardless of their abilities, can enjoy the wonders of Sesame Street Land to the fullest. To achieve this, we have worked closely with the IBCCES to train our Ambassadors to better understand and support autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals. This training equips them with the knowledge and skills to provide guests with a safe, welcoming, and accommodating experience.

The certification process involved a comprehensive audit of all our attractions on a sensory scale. This allowed us to identify potential sensory triggers and make necessary adjustments to create an inclusive and comfortable environment for everyone. As a result, we have developed a branded Sensory Guide that is available online and at Guest Relations. This guide provides valuable information for guests, helping them navigate the park and make informed decisions about which attractions they would like to experience.

One of the key features of the Sensory Guide is the inclusion of corresponding sensory levels printed on attraction signage in Sesame Street Land. These levels serve as a helpful tool for guests to gauge the sensory experience they can expect at each attraction. By providing this information upfront, we empower our guests to make choices that align with their needs and preferences.

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, has long been dedicated to increasing public awareness of autism and fostering greater empathy and understanding for individuals on the spectrum. This certification at Sesame Street Land is a natural extension of that mission. By working with the IBCCES, we can amplify the message of awareness and inclusion to an even wider audience, ensuring that individuals with autism and sensory sensitivities can enjoy the magical world of Sesame Street alongside their peers.

The partnership between Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando and the IBCCES has allowed us to create an environment that celebrates diversity and offers meaningful experiences for all guests. We thank the IBCCES for their ongoing support and guidance throughout this journey. Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable in helping us achieve our goal of becoming a Certified Autism Center and providing a truly inclusive experience for everyone who visits.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to furthering the cause of awareness, understanding, and inclusion. We will continue to work closely with the IBCCES to ensure that our certification is not just a one-time accomplishment but an ongoing commitment to our guests with special needs. Together, we can create a world where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can feel welcomed, valued, and embraced for who they are.

So come and join us at Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando, where the magic of Sesame Street meets the wonders of nature. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or visiting for the first time, we guarantee an unforgettable experience that inspires, uplifts and entertains. And remember, at Sesame Street Land, everyone is welcome and can be a part of the fun!
