On Endangered Species Day 2021, The Sanctuary’s Education Team went Live on Facebook with a virtual presentation to discuss the recent change in the conservation status of African elephants. African forest elephants joined their Asian elephant cousins as “critically endangered,” and African savannah elephants moved from “threatened” to “endangered.”
