Tras soltarlas en Ibiza en octubre 2020, y después de surcar el Mar Mediterráneo durante meses, ambas tortugas, que nacieron del primer nido de tortuga marina encontrado en Ibiza en 2019, se han reencontrado en el Arca del Mar, el hospital de tortugas, de la Fundación Oceanogràfic de València.
Marina, una de ellas, fue rescatada por una embarcación de pesca de València, y Xeresa, la otra, apareció varada en Dénia y ahora se recuperan en el ARCA del Mar del Oceanogràfic.
La odisea de los jóvenes quelonios aporta información relevante a los científicos gracias a los emisores satelitales que portaban y los datos obtenidos tras su ingreso en el centro.
