Chinchillas are unique animals that have a unique way of keeping themselves clean. Instead of taking a bath in water, they take a dust bath! This helps them evenly distribute natural oils, clear away dirt and debris, and keep their coats shiny and soft.
Waffles is one of the ambassador animals at the Trevor Zoo at Millbrook School and participates in birthday parties and virtual presentations. He loves his dust baths, and the Trevor Zoo team loves to watch him take them!
