1. Maddie the African Penguin:
Our first wild milestone takes us into the world of Maddie, an African penguin who has captivated hearts with her unique story. Born in November 2008, Maddie encountered a challenging hatching process when her foot became entangled in the egg’s membrane. Sadly, her parents were unable to provide the care she needed. Recognizing her vulnerability, our skilled animal care specialists decided to step in and hand-rear Maddie, giving her the best chance at survival.

2. A Tale of Specialized Care:
Just like Maddie, the Kanemoto twins, Kai and Klay, also embarked on an extraordinary journey of specialized care. Kai and Klay are monoamniotic identical twins, meaning they share the same amniotic sac throughout their development. Before Klay’s birth, he faced intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), limiting his growth potential.
