Boreal Forests/Taiga

This biome often called the "lungs of the Earth," spans a massive area across North America, Europe, and Asia, characterized by cold, long winters and short, wet summers. This biome houses many coniferous trees, such as spruces, pines, and larches. It's home to various wildlife, including bears, wolves, lynx, and numerous bird species. This ecosystem is vital in carbon storage and sequestration despite its harsh climate.
