Today we celebrate the awesome work of our education department here at the Sacramento Zoo as they educate the next generation of conservationists!
Our education department runs our Summer Camp, our upcoming Fall Camp, gives behind-the-scenes tours, creates educational materials for home-schooled children, goes to classrooms with ambassador animals via the Zoo-mobile, and so much more! The work our educators do help give people of all ages the chance to learn first-hand about the natural world in ways that go far beyond a textbook. We are also lucky to have a team of volunteer docents, who help engage guests with knowledge about the animals who call our zoo home, as well as their wild counterparts!
