Overview

The Bronx Zoo, located in Bronx, New York, is one of the largest and most famous zoos in the United States. Covering 265 acres, it houses over 4,000 animals from more than 650 species. Opened in 1899, the Wildlife Conservation Society manages the zoo and is recognized for its diverse animal collection and role in animal conservation.
