Overview

The Charles Paddock Zoo, located in Atascadero, California, is a small, community-oriented zoo originally started by Charles Paddock, a county park ranger, in the 1950s. Today, the zoo spans over 5 acres and is home to hundreds of animal species worldwide. The zoo's mission is to provide an educational resource for wildlife awareness and conservation and to offer recreational opportunities for the community and visitors.
