In honor of Administrative Professionals’ Day, the Houston Zoo spotlighted some administrative assistants supporting the zoo. Amy Blackmon, who has worked at the zoo for 17 years, currently serves as the executive assistant to the President and CEO. Clare Green has been at the zoo for almost a year and is an administrative assistant to the senior leadership team. Kelly McCreery, who has been at the zoo for 12 years, primarily focuses on customer service for the Conservation Education programs. Ruth Zavala has worked at the zoo for three and a half years in the Vet Clinic, while Katherine “Katie” Soloman, who has been at the zoo for a year, also works there. Each assistant shared their favorite thing about working at the zoo and what they enjoyed outside of work.
