Animal Rescue Success at the National Aquarium

The National Aquarium is proud to announce the success of its animal rescue efforts in 2021-2022. The Animal Rescue and Animal Health teams welcomed 30 cold stunned rescued turtles and three juvenile seals, rehabilitating them before releasing them back into the ocean.

In addition to rescuing animals, the National Aquarium also works hard to protect wildlife habitats and promote sustainable business practices. Their state-of-the-art Animal Care and Rescue Center located in historic Jonestown provides a home for their rescued animals, as well as tours for visitors who want to learn more about their work.

The National Aquarium’s commitment to conservation is an example of how we can all make a difference in protecting our planet’s aquatic treasures. By supporting organizations like the National Aquarium, we can help ensure that future generations will be able to experience these beautiful creatures firsthand.
