The Abilene Zoo is a 16-acre (6.5 ha) zoological park located in Abilene, Texas. It is home to over 1,000 animals representing 250 species, including lions, black rhinos, monkeys, bears, reptiles, birds and amphibians. The zoo also features a safari train and giraffe feeding station. Recently the zoo welcomed two giant anteater pups – the first of its kind birth for the zoo!

The Abilene Zoo offers educational programs such as Wild Days and special events throughout the year. Visitors can also learn about conservation efforts at the zoo and get involved in helping to preserve wildlife.
