Overview

Founded in 1914 and nestled within the picturesque setting of San Antonio's Brackenridge Park, the San Antonio Zoo is a thriving hub for over 3,500 animals from 750 diverse species. The zoo, across 56 scenic acres, is a non-profit organization committed to excellent animal care, proactive conservation, and innovative education. As well as offering an immersive window into global wildlife, it encourages a deeper appreciation for the earth's biodiversity. It aims to inspire the community to actively advocate for and preserve wildlife and their habitats.
