Overview

The Aquarium of Niagara, situated in Niagara Falls, New York, was established in 1965 and stands as a renowned institution dedicated to educating the public and promoting the conservation of aquatic life. Though compact, the Aquarium houses over 1,200 aquatic animals representing more than 120 species, and it is one of the few facilities in the world to house a collection of Humboldt penguins.

Visitors to the Aquarium of Niagara can enjoy a variety of interactive experiences, such as daily penguin and sea lion feedings, seal presentations, and behind-the-scenes tours. The Aquarium also offers many educational programs and events to promote understanding and appreciation of aquatic ecosystems.

The Aquarium of Niagara is involved in numerous conservation efforts to preserve aquatic life. The Aquarium also takes part in several Species Survival Plan (SSP) programs, which help manage and conserve select populations of species that are endangered. In addition to this, the Aquarium's rescue and rehabilitation program provides care for sick and injured marine mammals.
